Wever becomes president of Rotaract Club of St. Martin Sunrise

St. Maarten – Janice Choisy Wever was installed as President of the Rotaract Club of St. Martin Sunrise on Saturday evening at the Change of Board ceremony. She replaces Immediate Past President and Ms. St. Maarten 2011 Trumane Trotman.

The other members of the Board, which was installed by Acting Governor Jim Ferris, are Vice President Kishma Francis, Secretary Jaida Nisbett, Treasurer Elisia L. Lake, Community Service Director and Sergeant at Arms Norissa Anatol, Club service Director Nicoy Davis, Professional Service Director Franklin Woodley and International Service Director Lencia Leslie.

Saturday’s ceremony also included the induction of three new members namely Judith Bain, Janale Nisbett and Marjorie Ramirez. The club also presented radio show host Mercedes “Elektra” Wyatt with a plaque for being an exemplary member of the community. Wyatt has organized awareness campaigns on breast cancer and held pink parties focused on empowering women.
