St. Maarten – Producer of popular TV program WazzUpp TV Ronny Busby has announced he’s getting ready to close deals for the locally produced program to be aired in Curacao, Miami, New York, Toronto and in the Netherlands. The show which began airing in January 2011 has already been picked up by networks on Saba, St. Eustatius, Nevis, St. Thomas, St. Croix, St. John, Aruba, Anguilla, Tortola. It reaches further into the region because of its presence on Caribvision and to the world through a Youtube channel and a Facebook page.
Season one of the program, which is currently being re-aired, had sixteen episodes. Season two is about to go into production and Busby is looking for presenters. The individuals who are identified will be part of a team that shoots on location, writes its own scripts, records its own voice overs, produces their segments and then goes through the editing process.
Though he’s thankful to the current sponsors Busby is hoping that more sponsors will sign on and support season two and beyond
“Our market maybe small and advertisers are at times reluctant to advertise in local programming, but we are still able to produce professional TV in St. Maarten and have our show aired throughout the Caribbean and via Youtube to the rest of the world. WazzUpp TV is going places and we want to take our audience and sponsors along,” Busby stated.
