St. Maarten – The vocational education team met representatives of construction, utility, maritime, hardware and infrastructure companies at Carl’s Unique Inn and Conference Center on Wednesday evening. The discussions focused on what level of skills and qualifications the companies require from people who submit applications for either a job or internship.
The meeting is part of the ongoing vocational education information campaign that is being funded by Usona. It was aimed at giving the team getting a better understanding of what types of jobs or internships are available and what skills and qualifications are needed to apply.
“We will be able to better guide our young graduates into the direction that professionally suits their background,” a release stated.
More companies in different sectors will be called to the information sessions which are being held under the broad theme: Help us to help you!
“Together we can make a difference. Together we can progress,” the release also stated.
