St. Maarten – This Saturday – July 28 – will be the last chance for the hardcore gamers to play against the top US players. VxG successfully closed off this year’s tournament with a series of competitions and events. The last gaming tournament features EMP Perfect Legend and EMP Triforce.

The gamers that were part of the tournament love the island and decided to extend their stay. They are currently helping VxG promote next year’s tournament locally and are already looking into sponsorships.

Saturday’s event includes autograph signings for the fans. In addition to the tournament the players will be training local players, since they want to help take the gaming to another level.

They also want to help St. Maarten players prepare better for VxG 2013 as they did not place very well in the fighting games category. The games for Saturday are Street Fighter and Mortal Kombat. The match ups will be between 4:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m.

Entrance is $5.00 and includes a free autographed EMP trading card and a free training session from both pro-gamers before the tournament. The winner of the tournament will go home with an autographed SFxT pro-edition stick. The event will be held at the DVD Express, next to Mark’s Place on the Bush Road. Go to or for more information.
