St. Maarten – Commissioner of Public Health and Leader of the Progressive Labor Party Clyde Van Putten has expressed sympathy to the family of the late Edgar Lynch, who will be laid to rest today and the family of the late Eulalie Meyers-Hazel, who was buried on Saturday.

In his letter to Lynch’s widow, Ombudsman Nilda Lynch Arduin, Van Putten wrote, “We hope it brings you gentle comfort to know that others care and that friends are always there.”

He also wrote, “We hope that with the love and strength of family you are able to face tomorrow.  We are thinking of you and hoping you know your sorrow is shared by all those who deeply care.”

In his letter to Minister of Tourism, Economic Affairs, Transportation and Telecommunications Franklin Meyers, Van Putten conveyed profound sympathy to the minister, his family and relatives. He also wished the minister and his family “much strength and wisdom” during their time of bereavement.

“The late Mrs. Eulalie Meyers-Hazel, touched and gladdened so many lives in St. Maarten and St. Eustatius. She will be remembered for a lifetime of warmth and affection,” Van Putten wrote in his letter.
