St. Maarten – The office of the Attorney-General has opened the vacancy for Chief Prosecutor in Sint Maarten. The post will become available after the current Chief Prosecutor, Hans Mos returns to the Netherlands per August 1. The office of the Attorney-General published the vacancy ad today and announced that it is open in Curacao, Sint Maarten, Bonaire, Statia and Saba.

Among the job requirements are, according to the advertisement “a strongly developed sense for political-administrative relations” and a similar feel for awareness of the surroundings, including “being selective in social contacts.”

The ad furthermore warns that the posting in Sint Maarten is not a walk in the park: “At the prosecutor’s office in Sint Maarten the Chief Prosecutor has limited support and the candidate must not shy away from performing basic (low level) tasks.”
