St. Maarten – The representatives of 36 foundations attended the recent information session hosted by the St. Maarten Advisory Board of the Samenwerkende Fondsen/Cooperating Foundations of the Dutch Caribbean. Ten of the 36 foundations have now made appointments with project advisors Leon Lake and Saskia Kliphuis in order to start working on their specific project request.

The session was aimed at allowing foundations to get tips on how they can successfully file their project for funding and to give them insight into the specifics of the funding policy of Cooperating Foundations. According to a statement projects that increase the binding forces within our society and/or target children, seniors and vulnerable people are eligible for funding. Salaries, construction and exploitation costs do not fall within the scope of the funding policy.

The St. Maarten Advisory Board consists of namely Angela Dekker, Perry Wilson, Claudwick Peterson, Richard Gibson Jr. and Gianne de Weever.
