Thieves steal Carnival Queen’s car and thesis

POSTED: 08/6/15 6:49 PM

St. Maarten -“I woke up this morning and got ready, walked outside and my car was gone,” says carnival’s former Miss Mature Pea Gordon who won a blue Hyundai I20 for her crown in 2013. Someone apparently stole Gordon’s car   – and the thesis she is working on – from Gladiola Road in Mary Fancy on Wednesday night.

Gordon went to the police station to file a complaint. She is appealing to readers to look out for her car and call 522 07 57 or the police station when they spot it. The car was last seen at 11 p.m. on Wednesday. The number plate is M6009. Gordon is appealing to the humanity of the robbers, “I’m working on my thesis for my bachelors program and it’s in my car, it’s important I get my thesis back. I’ve worked hard on it, a lot of important school books are in the car, please just put the car where we can find it, no questions would be asked.”

The car also has a Bush T sticker on the tank cover.

The former Miss Mature Queen won the vehicle courtesy of the Carnival Foundation and Motor World. The vehicle has been unitized by Gordon for two years now and is in good condition. The public can call the Police department at 54-22222 to give any information about the whereabouts of the vehicle.
