St. Maarten – The Common Court of Justice sentenced Victor Hussein on Wednesday to 10 months of imprisonment for an attempt to burglarize the Kooijman hardware store on October 3 of last year. Of the sentence, 5 months are suspended. The court imposed 2 years of probation.

Hussein attempted to steal one or more electric drills from the store, but the 23-year-old was already caught after he had forced a gate that gave access to a generator room.

The Court in First Instance sentenced Hussein in February and the Appeals Court has now confirmed the verdict.
