St. Maarten – TelEm Group apologized to customers Monday for late delivery of their March bills. These bills, which were delayed because of the company’s transfer from an old billing system to a brand new billing system, are now ready for collection and payment. The switch over included overall complicated steps to produce the current bills for landline and internet.
“One of the features of the new billing system is possibility for customers to check their own accounts and print out their own statements,” TelEm Group Corporate Communication Officer Joe Dominique said.
People could visit any TelEm Group location as of Monday in order to make a payment. They could also make contact with customer service representative who can give information about new disconnection dates to accommodate those making late payments. Telem announced a backlog in the processing of bills recently and advised customers to set funds aside to make payments when the bills have been processed.
Customers will already have noticed a change in the format and appearance of their new bills which also include account numbers for standing order and online payments.
“We are apologizing to all our customers for their patience and understanding, especially those who have made numerous enquiries about their undelivered bill(s) in recent weeks,” Dominique said.
