SZV hires Superhost as customer service trainer

St. Maarten – The Health and Social Insurances Agency (SZV) has contracted St. Maarten SuperHost to give customer service training to its employees. The actual training will begin near the end of January now that the Customer Service Training and Certification Agreement have been signed by St. Maarten SuperHost Managing Director Tamara Leonard and the SZV’s Chief Operations Officer Officer Reginald Willemsberg.
The training will be preceded by an observation of the company’s general operations and how staffers who interact with customers do their jobs. This observation will allow the trainers to deliver a tailor made training that reflects real life situations.
Interim SZV Director Dennis Richardson hopes that the agency’s 36, 000 clients will benefit from improved service once the training is complete and the staffers are SuperHost certified.
“A great number of our clients when they come to us they are in a stressful situation, sick or are elderly. We need to take care of them,” Richardson said.
Leonard understands Richardson’s desire and pointed out that service is more than delivering on a client’s specific needs.
“It is about how the client is greeted. It is about meeting and exceeding their expectation and filling needs they didn’t realise that had. That need could be giving additional information to make a complicated task or decision a lot easier,” Leonard said.
SZV is Superhosts’ latest client. The company, which has the main goal of bringing back friendly customer service to St. Maarten, has worked with several other companies already to raise the service level by improving internal and external communication.
