St. Maarten – JS Consulting Services is conducting a study financing survey among approximately 600 businesses to collect information about the island’s education and training needs for the next five years.
Research coordinator Julio Romney randomly selects business owners, employers, government departments and ministries to collect data for the study.
The three-page questionnaire asks some basic questions about the participant’s business and provides a list of professions that she or he foresees to need in the next five years. Participants can also indicate whether they find it important to find these professionals and whether they expect it to be difficult to fill the positions.
Other questions are about the education level participants expect to have applicants for job positions.
The study is commissioned by the Ministry of Education, Culture, Youth and Sports.
