St. Maarten – The new Managing Director of the Princess Juliana Airport Regina Labega is one of several people that Prime Minister Sarah Wescot-Williams congratulated at Wednesday’s Council of Minister’s press briefing. Labega began working at the Airport on July 1.

“A daunting task, given the importance of this facility and a government owned company for the entire St. Maarten, for the entire country and so I wish her a lot of success as she undertakes this position and I am sure she will give it her very, very best,” the Prime Minister said.

There was also congratulation for the athletes who participated in the Special Olympics World Games that was held in Athens, Greece from June 25 to July 4. The team won 11 medals in three sports.

“To all of them, all who participated, we say congratulations,” Wescot-Williams said.

There were also congratulations to Fenna Arnell and Ingrid Gumbs on their promotion to Department Head. Arnell will head the Department of Public Health – a policy unit – within the Ministry of Public Health, Social Development and Labor. Gumbs works in the Department of Documentation and Information Management in the Ministry of General Affairs.
