St. Maarten News – Tourism and Economic Affairs Minister Ingrid Arrindell is “very pleased” that CNN Travel carried a story where the Princess Juliana International Airport ranked among the five favorite places for plane-spotting in the world.

On March 2, the CNN Travel (www.cnn.com) website published a column about plane spotting written by Karla Cripps; the writer pointed out that plane-spotting has become a more alluring hobby than ever.

According to Cripps the five favorite airports for plane spotting are London Heathrow, Princess Juliana International Airport, Hong Kong International; Los Angeles International; and Toulouse.

This form of publicity goes a long way in promoting our destination, is priceless, and is very much welcomed,” Arrindell said in a press statement.
