St. Maarten – The police department is asking the owner of a German Shepherd Dog they found in Dutch Quarter to come forward and reclaim him. The animal did not have any tags on it when police removed him a residence on Christiansted Drive early Sunday morning.
According to the police report the police were called to the home on Christiansted Drive at 1:30 a.m. because the dog would not allow a woman to enter her home. The dog was also generally aggressive with anyone who tried to enter the home.
By the time police arrived at the scene the dog had wandered away. They then searched for the animal, captured him and impounded him at the Philipsburg Police Station.
“The police department is asking the owner of this dog to please come forward to collect this animal and when doing to also bring along proof of ownership,” Police Spokesman Inspector Ricardo Henson.
