St. Maarten Police grab five Son Latino burglars at the airport

St. Maarten – Police arrested five suspects of a burglary at the Son Latino nightclub on Illidge road yesterday at the airport. The five suspects, four men and one woman, were planning to return to their native Dominical Republic.

During a search of their luggage, police found money, phones, jewelry, watches and designer sunglasses. The police report did not provide the details, but reportedly the burglars stole $10,000 from the nightclub.

The burglary at Son Latino took place on Monday night. The multidisciplinary team established by the justice ministry conducted the investigation and came up with quick results. The team operates under the responsibility of the police force and consists of the immigration and border protection services, Customs and the police force.
