St. Maarten – Parliament will meet for a second time on the advice of the Presidium of Parliament concerning the appointment of the Deputy Secretary-General on Monday because there was no quorum for the meeting on Friday morning. The meeting will take place in the General Assembly Chamber at 10.00am.

Friday’s meeting was scheduled to begin at 10:00 a.m. but there was no quorum. The Chair waited the required 30 minutes and was then forced to call of the meeting because there was still no quorum. The MPs who had signed in per 10:30 were the Chair, Gracita Arrindell, Patrick Illidge, Roy Marlin, John Leonard and Silvia Olivaccee-Meyers. Other MPs who had turned up for the meeting, attempted to sign after 10:30 a.m so it could not proceed.
