St. Maarten Govt joint marketing effort with TripAdvisor takes off

St. Maarten News – The St. Maarten Tourism Bureau and the SHTA announce that a joint marketing effort with Trip Advisor and Expedia has been approved by the Council of Ministers and it will begin as soon as possible.

Carol Johnson, destination sales manager for the Caribbean and Latin America for travel planning and booking site TripAdvisor will be in St. Maarten, today and tomorrow to meet with tourism professionals to unveil the 2016 St. Maarten digital cooperative program and packages available to the private sector in order to take advantage of this combined effort to promote the destination and all of its offerings.

Carol Johnson is a media industry marketing professional focusing on international travel. With her full focus on digital, Johnson is using her integrated media experience, from print to TV to events, to educate, implement and manage digital strategy, reputation and campaigns for destinations on TripAdvisor.

TripAdvisor enables travelers to plan and book the perfect trip. The site offers advice from millions of travelers and a wide variety of travel choices and planning features with seamless links to booking tools that check hundreds of websites to find the best hotel prices. TripAdvisor branded sites make up the largest travel community in the world, reaching 350 million unique monthly visitors, and 320 million reviews and opinions covering 6.2 million accommodations, restaurants and attractions. The sites operate in 47 countries worldwide.
