South Reward road repaired after Laville’s intervention

GREAT BAY-Thanks to the intervention by independent member of parliament Romain Laville, the people residing on the upper levels of South Reward, opposite the St Dominic High school can breathe a sigh of relief now that their road has been resurfaced.
According to Laville, who has been living on the hill for a number of years, the road became so impassible at one stage that the residents had to pool their resources to pay for the necessary repairs to the areas that were the most affected.
Now that the situation of the road has been repaired, a major concern by residents is the manner in which drivers of huge trucks just unload their sometimes dusty cargo opposite the St Dominic High school.
“Whenever they dump stuff there, the dust blows into the classrooms and that can make the students sick. They are our future and we have to take care of them,” one concerned resident said.
