Seventeen suspects in Octopus investigation

St. Maarten News – The National Detective Agency has identified seventeen suspects in the Octopus investigation. Seven of them are currently already detained at the Pointe Blanche prison for other crimes, the spokesman for the prosecutor’s office Norman Serphos said.

On Monday, the detectives questioned four of the seven suspects that are already in jail: J.R., J.C., K.W. and O.G. Yesterday the other three – identified as L.W., D.W. and K.M. – were questioned.

Six others, identified as J. la. P., R.Y., J.B., G.W., R.F. and R.G., have been interrogated but they are not detained.

Silvio Matser, Rogelio Koeiman, Eddie F. and a man identified as W.B. are still under arrest and into their eight days of police custody. The Judge of Instruction will have to decide the latest on Friday about the continuation of the custodial measures against these four.
