St. Maarten – In their effort to maximize their positions when they go up against Antigua in the second semi final match of the Nagico/LICA T-20 competition, two fast bowlers will be added to the team.

Marlon Brutus and Kenroy David will be replacing Mrinwal Wahdwa and Gregorio Ritchie for this crucial game and national coach Rishie Singh explained the main reason for the change.

“First of all, there were some players who could not travel to Anguilla for various reasons and we have to be in a position to use a spinner and a fast bowler from both ends of the ground,” Singh said.

According to Singh, although he was satisfied with the performances of the team when they played in two close matches against Anguilla. The absence of fast bowlers on the team had an effect in those games.

The squad is currently intensifying their preparations for the game this Friday and playing on a home surface can have its advantages. However the players will have to stick to the specified game plan. Bowl accurately, show commitment in the field and bat responsibly.
