St. Maarten – The investigation into the missing of Ann-Marie Lynch, who worked at Pineapple Pete Restaurant in Simpson bay, has so far been unsuccessful. Lynch has gone missing since December 28, 2012.

From the moment the report was filed of the missing of Ann-Marie Lynch a team was immediately formed by the police force, who has investigated every tip and clue they had. Given the circumstances under which Ann-Marie went missing, gave the police the suspicion that Ann-Marie Lynch had become a victim of a criminal act.

Led by the prosecution many witnesses were heard by the investigation team, camera images viewed, phones tapped and forensic investigations done. Raids were carried out and a suspect was arrested, but was later released due to insufficient evidence.

Despite investigations done by police and volunteers on different locations, as well from the Coast Guard along several bays and beaches on the island, so far Lynch could not be found.

The FBI carried out searches and investigations in the U.S. Virgin islands as well, which has not led to new information.

The police department making an appeal to the entire population, requesting  anyone who may have any kind of information regarding this investigation to report it to the Detective Department or call the hotline at 9300
