St. Maarten – In the notable absence of Elie Bendaly, the former Country Head at Scotia Bank St Maarten, Raymond Green who has now taken up that position has reiterated the bank’s commitment for the support of Carnival.

In a simple, but yet significant ceremony yesterday at the main office in Philipsburg. Mr Green, accompanied by several of his management team was on hand to accept a copy of the first set of official schedule for this year’s activities which begins on Saturday April 6 and concludes on Thursday May 2 from Michael Granger, President of the St Maarten Carnival Development Foundation, SCDF.

Scotia Bank is one of the main corporate sponsors for the Carnival on St Maarten who have been extremely supportive for the past 15 years and Granger pointed that out in his own words.

“We know we can count on the bank and their team every year by supporting us in this way, this year is no different and we are very thankful,” Granger said. In his brief response, Green said that the bank was once again very proud to be associated with the SCDF and they will continue to support the events, in the years to come.
