St. Maarten – In the battle for supremacy to see which teams will end up at the top in the 2012 Nagico futsal competition, the Risc Takers is just one of the teams that now stands a chance to secure a championship title after the last round of matches which took place on Sunday at the LB Scott Sports Auditorium.
In the highly anticipated encounter, the Risc Takers, which has a compliment of elderly players took control of the game early which had the Shake-It team busy throughout the entire game which was filled with tension and matching excitement that ended with a score of 4-3 in the Nagico Super League, NSL.
In the Nagico Division League, NDL, after suffering from a 4-2 loss to FC Veendam earlier in the competition, Flames United turned the tables around and won by 6-5 and that win has placed them one step closer to be crowned as the champions in that division.
The Paradise Inn, the defending champs and favorites of the competition played like the champions they are when they came from behind to beat the FC Strikers by 3 goals to 2.
The 1st round in the semi-finals kicked-off last night (Decmber 2ND 2012) with a couple of youth games , 2 games in the NSL, 1 game in the NDL and 1 veteran match. With two Matches left to play in the veteran’s division, the Risc Takers Vets who have been dominating the scene in that division are on the verge of becoming the champions.
However, the one point advantage for both of super league matches is very marginal making the second match that will take place on December 9, a must see encounter.
