Registration open for 2013 Heineken Regatta

St. Maarten – The 33rd St. Maarten Heineken Regatta scheduled for February 28 to March 3, 2013, is now open for registration. The Regatta organization is inviting crews contact them at with any questions they may have or to begin the registration process.
The St. Maarten Heineken Regatta has acquired a reputation as one of the must do events in the Caribbean.
“It is the perfect combination of topnotch sailing during the day and fabulous parties at night. That is why we call it ‘Serious Fun’,” the organizers said.
In 2012, the regatta attracted close to 200 entries with competitors from 32 countries run by an international race committee. It was covered in all major sailing publications and has been promoted as the biggest regatta in the Caribbean.
“The St. Maarten Heineken Regatta is a fantastic sailing event for every type of sailor; professional sailors and boat owners, as well as businesses or friends that want to charter a boat. No matter what your sailing experience is, you are certainly going to enjoy this one of a kind regatta.

Information regarding the 2013 headliners for the regatta night parties will also be announced soon. In previous years performers like Black Eyes Peas, Wycleff Jean and Beres Hammond rocked the island.
