St. Maarten – The thirteen police recruits who left for Curacao earlier this year returned last Friday and began a practical course at the Philipsburg Police Station on Monday. The first module in the course is Intake and Service.

The recruits are being guided by class coaches who will help them finalize each module. This first module will teach them how to put official complaints and other documents in writing and how to give Customer Service. More modules will follow.

The 13 recruits were welcomed by Irene Simmons of the Justice Ministry. Commissioner Carl John, who is the coordinator for the training, and Inspector Keturah Brown, who is the Head School Coach, was on the flight with the students.
