Police nab Malaysians with a hundred stolen credit cards

St. Maarten – After a tip a police bike patrol arrested three criminals from Malaysia on Front Street on Sunday afternoon, and confiscated a hundred stolen credit cards that were found in their hotel room. The three men were busy buying jewelry from different stores with some of the stolen credit cards.

The police received a phone call about the credit card scammers shortly after noon. The caller gave the police an accurate description of the men, thus enabling the bike patrol to apprehend them quickly.

The three suspects had already bought some jewelry; this was found in their possession. In the presence of an acting prosecutor, police searched the hotel room where the suspects were staying. In the room, they found one hundred stolen credit cards.

The three suspects remain in custody while the detective department is investigating the case.
