GREAT BAY – Police discovered “a substantial amount of compacted marijuana” when they searched a home on Banjo Drive in Cape Bay at 7:35 p.m. on Tuesday. They did the search because they received information that people were selling drugs at the residence.
Police also found and confiscated weighing scales, transparent plastic bags and other paraphernalia related to the sale of marijuana during the search. The actual drugs were in a plastic bucket and police said it was being prepared for sale.
No one was home when the house was raided and the police are still searching for suspects. They’ve also announced that they’ll continue doing searches as they receive information.
