POSTED: 11/15/11 4:32 AM

St. Maarten – L.E.G., a customs officer, was arrested and detained early Sunday morning for threatening security officers at Blue Sky/ Carolina Night Club with a fire arm. Police were called to the scene at 4:30 a.m.
G.E.C., the security officer that met the police patrol, informed them that they’d been talking with G. when he started to threaten them with a weapon. He also reported he was able to disarm the man before he used the weapon and that it had been stored in a safe place. The weapon has been confiscated as part of the investigation.
Police were also able to approach the suspect as he was still at the bar. He refused to cooperate when they approached him and would not tell them his name. That resistance continued when he was taken to the Philipsburg Police Station and questioned.
