PM extends condolences to Minister Jacobs

St. Maarten – Prime Minister Sarah Wescot-Williams extended on behalf of the Council of Ministers and the Government of St. Maarten her deepest condolences to Minister of Education Silveria Jacobs on the passing of her mother on Monday. “It is with deep sadness that I learned today of the passing of Minister Jacobs’ mother Nadia Bryson-Willemsberg. I would like to extend to Minister Jacobs the heartfelt condolences of Government, of the Council of Minister’s and personally from myself and from the members of my cabinet in this most difficult time,” commented the Prime Minister. “It is always with regret that we hear that a colleague is suffering the loss of a loved one, and our prayers are with you and your family during the weeks to come,” the Prime Minister concluded in her message to Minister Jacobs.

Also deputy Prime Minister, William Marlin extended his condolences to Minister Jacobs and her brothers Ronnie and Raymond, on the passing of their beloved mother. He said that he had personally known Nadia for many years, going back to the 1970’s when he was Principal of the Lionel Conner School where the three children attended school there. Nadia was a loving mother who loved and cared for her children and was one of those parents you could always rely and depend on. Attended every parents/teachers meeting and was very involved in the education of her three children.

Mrs. Bryson-Willemsberg passed away at the St. Maarten Medical Center Monday morning at the age of sixty-six.
