Pantophlet at aviation conference in Colombia

St. Maarten – More than sixty airlines are represented at the Routes Americas aviation conference in Colombia that begins today and concludes on Wednesday. Minister of Tourism and Economic Affairs, Transportation and Telecommunication Romeo Pantophlet attends the conference.

Senior airport executives and airline route decision makers meet at this conference, together with tourism authorities from the Americas and the Caribbean.

Routes Americas is similar to the Florida Caribbean Cruise Association (FCCA), cruise line itineraries are also presented along with insights into the cruise sector.

All four United States network carriers – US Airways, American Airlines, Delta Air Lines and United Airlines – are present in Colombia, along with major low-cost carriers like JetBlue, Southwest, and Spirit.

Gol, Volaris, COPA Airlines, Aeromexico, Avianca-TACA and Vivaaerobus are also there. Canada is represented by Air Canada, and the country’s leading low cost carrier WestJet.

Minister Pantophlet is looking for additional airlift opportunities and for the latest insights from airline CEO’s.
