GREAT BAY- The St. Maarten Heineken Regatta announced that Orange Grove and Patrick Grayham will be performing on Friday March 1 during the Boardwalk party of the Regatta.

Having traveled and performed throughout the Caribbean, Europe and even the United States, the music of both Orange Grove and Patrick Grayham has reached many music lovers worldwide. Combining a mixture of regional music styles, like Reggae, Soca and Calypso with Rock and Ska, Orange Grove and Patrick Grayham are certain to make everyone feel the Caribbean Rhythm at the Boardwalk, Philipsburg.

Orange Grove is no stranger when it comes to the St. Maarten Heineken Regatta, they have performed several times before, once as a warm up act for the Wailers. “Wherever the music takes us that’s where we’ll be, and the St Maarten Heineken Regatta is the place to be!” says Jacob, guitarist and co-founder of the band Orange Grove.

With their roots in St. Maarten, Orange Grove stays true to the Caribbean sound, spiced up with some rock influences. Their debut album ‘Genuine Origins’ was launched in 2007, including songs like: ‘These Days’ and ‘Live it Up’. Two years later Orange Grove launched their new album ‘Fingerprint’ including songs like ‘White Daisy’ and ‘Living Easy’ songs with a positive message, being an inspiration to their fans.

Patrick Grayham, who grew up on the Caribbean islands of St. Maarten and Curacao, has performed many times in St. Maarten, but never during the St. Maarten Heineken Regatta. Patrick’s debut single ‘Fire’ is a clear example of his music. ‘Fire’ is a seductive soul/zouk fusion (a blend of Soul and French Caribbean music) that has been filling up the dance floors wherever it is played.

Orange Grove and Patrick Grayham will join the previously announced international musical headliners The Commodores to provide smooth sounds for the 2013 St. Maarten Heineken Regatta February 28 – March 3, 2013.

All the St. Maarten Heineken Regatta parties are free and open to the public. Food and drinks are available each night. For over three decades, the St. Maarten Heineken Regatta has showcased the top boats and sailing-and has become equally famous for its world-class slate of parties and musical entertainment-in the Caribbean. Now recognized by sailors around the planet as one of the sailing world’s best regattas, each year the event lives up to its worthy motto, ‘Serious Fun’.
