With the closure of the Victorious Living Foundation the doomsday scenario non-governmental organizations already foresaw in February is starting to take shape.

With funding from the Antillean co-financing organization Amfo coming to an end, Victorious Living is among the first to close its doors – and more are likely to follow.

We learn now that the foundation provided services to the Justice Ministry and the Public Prosecutor’s Office and that it never received a penny for its efforts. The court sent for instance young defendants with behavioral problems to the foundation for anger management training, but also for young entrepreneurship courses.

All that is gone now; the foundation’s closure will leave a gap in the array of services our society needs.
That Victorious Living is not going to cry about all this but that it takes action to get back on its feet is the only piece of good news in this sad development.
