Oostburg and Alexander speak at cancer conference

St. Maarten (DCOMM) – Dr. Virginia Asin Oostburg, currently head of Collective Prevention Services (CPS), and Dr. Jennifer Alexander, will be two of several speakers at the cancer conference that begins on Friday morning at the Sonesta Great Bay Beach Hotel.
Dr. Virginia Asin Oostburg is a medical doctor and physical therapist with 28 years of experience in the health sector both in practice and as a lecturer.
In 2007 Dr. Asin received her Master’s in Public Health with concentration in health organization and planning and got promoted to deputy director of health at the Ministry of Health in Suriname and head of the planning department.
Dr. Asin will speak about morbidity and mortality responsibility and structure.

Dr. Jennifer Alexander has been practicing her profession for more than 30-years. Alexander is the founder and chief executive officer of the Hair Loss Clinic of Jamaica and Surgipath and Cytology Lab Service.
Dr. Alexander is a 26-year-old breast cancer survivor and an award winning author of If Love’s so Nice…Why Does it Hurt? and A Practical Guide to Coping with Cancer.
Alexander will give a motivational speech entitled Yesterday, Today and Tomorrow, and she will also talk about breast cancer and how she survived.
