St. Maarten – Motorworld and Nagico recently became Major Partners of the DigiKidz project to assist the Foresee Foundation execute this Information and Communications Technology-driven educational program aimed at providing students, teachers and management with the ICT/Technology infrastructure, tools and training to make learning and teaching more engaging in a technology driven world. ICT expands the learning process as in integral part of a school resulting in students and teachers being engaged in a stimulating and challenging environment.
In a small ceremony organized at the Christian Hillside School in Cay Hill the checks were handed over to Mrs. José Sommers, President of the Foresee Foundation along with the Directors of the school and Manisha Amjad, Motorworld sales manager, Lorenzo Gomez, Motorworld marketing officer and Jamie-Lee Peterson, Nagico marketing assistant.
“To become the next business leaders on St. Maarten, it’s crucial that students and teachers incorporate digital media as much as possible in the school’s curriculum in order to be able to excel in the digitally driven world”, said Manisha Amjad.
“For Nagico, we encourage projects that improve the capabilities of our students and teachers which will be beneficial for the community in general and stimulate continued learning, according to Jamie- Lee Peterson of Nagico.
Both Motorworld and Nagico emphasize their commitment towards education on St. Maarten annually and this donation is another example of their continued corporate support. The donation will mainly go towards outfitting one classroom with the needed ICT infrastructure and will carry the names of the sponsors once operational.
