More Central Committee meetings next week

St. Maarten –  A Central Committee meeting has been scheduled for Friday afternoon at 4 p.m. about the border management system, crime fighting initiatives and security companies operating on the island.

The three point agenda also includes crime statistics for 2012.

A Central Committee meeting is scheduled for next week Monday at 10.00 am. The agenda point is information regarding the problems or issues leading to the delay in making public the Census 2011 statistical information.

On Wednesday at 2.00 p.m. Brigadier General Dick Swijgman of the Netherlands Naval Command in the Caribbean, Directorate of the Dutch Caribbean Coast Guard and Task Group 4.4, will inform members of parliament about the deployment of Royal Dutch Marines to the country and the location of the naval base in St. Maarten.

All meetings will be carried live on St. Maarten Cable TV Channel 120, via Pearl Radio FM 98.1, the audio via the Internet www.pearlfmradio.com, and also via www.sxmparliament.org.
