Minister swears in two Marechaussees

St. Maarten – On Monday Justice Minister Roland Duncan ’s swore in first class sergeant Wolter de Ruiter and sergeant major Hubertus Bloks as new members of the Royal Military Police (Koninklijke Marechaussee).
The Minister and Chief Commissioner of Police Peter de Witte welcomed both men to the island and congratulated them on their new positions and encouraged them to serve Sint Maarten well. Also present at the ceremony were two colleagues from the Royal Military Police.
The two men were also sternly advised by Chief Commissioner : “to prepare to work very hard in St. Maarten, as there is much to be done. The cooperation with the Royal Military Police has improved and I am looking forward to further collaborative efforts.”
