with the country’s Vice-Minister of Education, Science and Culture Oscar Gomez, and the head of the Cultural Department to foster ties of cooperation in the areas of promoting our cultural heritage, education, science and technology.

“My delegation was able to hold fruitful dialogue with our counterparts in the Caribbean region to facilitate the setting up of our National Commissions,’ Minister Jacobs said. “Support was pledged from the regional cluster office in Jamaica by Director Dr. Kwame Boafo (who will conduct a training session in November) and by several other Unesco-representatives from island states like Barbados, Jamaica and St. Kitts & Nevis.
