St. Maarten – A master swindler, identified to this newspaper as Gabriel Fulgencio Hernandez, has squeezed thousands of dollars out of Dessireé Fashion Glam and out of companies that provided services and goods for the glamorous opening of the store in the Yogesh Commercial Building last Saturday.
Hernandez, a 32-year-old from the Dominican Republic presented himself as a gentleman to the companies that provided among others flyers and fashion models for the opening. One service company said that Hernandez would pay him as soon as his principal paid him.
One provider took an expensive camera as security for his upcoming payment and he is now wondering where Hernandez got the camera.
What really happened according to the store owner and the service providers is that Hernandez collected money from Dessireé Fashion Glam and that this money never reached the other companies. The store opening took place last Saturday, and gentleman Gabriel is nowhere to be found, according to the sources that provided information to this newspaper. In the meantime, a complaint has been filed at the police station.
