MAC school vandalized

St. Maarten – Unknown vandals caused havoc on the Rev. John A. Gumbs campus (the MAC school) in Betty’s Estate during the weekend. They broke into five of the sixteen class rooms where they played around with a fire extinguisher covering everything with powder. The materials in the classrooms cannot be used for at least two days, the police reported, because the powder is potentially hazardous to the students.
The vandals also threw a large iguana through a window of one of the class rooms.
School principal Hodge discovered the vandalism yesterday morning shortly after seven o’clock in the morning.
