Love of Kids education series begins Wednesday

St. Maarten – Parents, coaches, scout leaders, church leaders, community service groups, psychologists, physicians, school administrators, education and youth affairs policy makers, student care coordinators and playschool teachers are all being invited to two free workshops and a symposium being hosted by Love of Kids Foundation. The foundation also hosts professional workshops on Friday that costs $20 per participant.

The workshops are on Wednesday and Thursday and begin at 7:00 p.m. The theme on Wednesday is “Raising a son in the absence of a father” and the theme on Thursday is “Scream-free parenting – Five truths every parent should know. There is no need to register for the workshops.

The symposium will be held from 2:00 to 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. The overall theme is “Education Revolution 2012 Symposium” and people have to register to participate. Richard Lavoie, who has over 30 years of experience in special education, will be the keynote speaker at the event. Principal Kafele, Hal Runkel, and Catherine Burns are also part of the “team of wonderfully dynamic speakers, with revolutionary ideas” that has been assembled to speak at the event.

Registration for any or all of the events can be done in advance at The foundation wants people to use this option so they can be adequately prepared.
