Lee voted CHTA’s second in command

MONTEGO BAY/GREAT BAY – President of the St. Maarten Hotel & Trade Association and General Manager of Princess Heights Hotel, St. Maarten Emil Lee was recently elected 1st Vice President of the Caribbean Hotel & Tourism Association (CHTA). Members elected the new board on June 14 during the annual general meeting at Half Moon Hotel, A Rock Resort, in Montego Bay, Jamaica.

The new board will be led by Managing Director of Bolongo Bay Beach Resort in St. Thomas, U.S. Virgin Islands Richard J. Doumeng. He and the officers will serve the membership of CHTA for the 2012- 2014 biennium. The other officers are director of hospitality, Punta Cana Resort & Club, Dominican Republic Alberto Abreu (2nd Vice President), president, St. Lucia Hotel and Tourism Association and owner and Executive Director of Anse Chastanet and Jade Mountain Resort Karolin Troubetzkoy (3rd Vice President), President of the Jamaica Hotel & Tourism Association and general manager of Tensing Pen Evelyn Smith (4th Vice President), CEO of Jonckheer Advertising and Marketing Willem Jonckheer (5th Vice President) and President and CEO of Aruba Hotel and Tourism Association James Hepple (Treasurer).
