St. Maarten – The last session in the Power of Knowledge series will take place today at 6.30 p.m. at the Philipsburg Jubilee Library. This will be an informative and in-depth lecture on Sint Maarten labor law by Nikima Groeneveldt-Hickinson, policy advisor at the department of labor.
“Are you fully informed about the labor laws that exist on Sint Maarten? If not, then you must not miss the last lecture in the Power of Knowledge series. The session by Nikima Groeneveldt-Hickinson will inform you about all aspects of labour law,” the library states in a press release. The matters that will be discussed are numerous, like legislation, the Sint Maarten labor market, worker’s rights and responsibilities, employer’s rights and responsibilities, basic definitions of players and the types of contracts.
“It is important to know and exercise your rights and the Power of Knowledge sessions are being organised to help equip people with knowledge with which they can better manage their lives and take control of any situation they may be facing,” the press release states. “The library strives to do this by inviting experts from the business sector and government to speak and share their vast knowledge on the topics at hand.”
