St. Maarten – Learning Unlimited school student  Harsha Parchani was chosen to represent St. Maarten as Junior Minister of Tourism at the Caribbean Tourism State of the Industry Conference in Martinique from October 16 to 18.

Parchani will take part in the Youth Congress, a component of the State of the Industry Conference, along with 13 other students who will be representing their respective Caribbean destinations.

The students will be asked to research and present their findings on a known tourism related subject.  The students  will also be asked to give their views and opinion on a mystery topic which will test their knowledge of the tourism industry as well as their abilities to think on their feet.

The students performances will be judged by experts in the field and there will be very attractive prizes for the first, second and third place winners.

St. Maarten Tourist Bureau has coordinated and taken part in the CTO Youth Congress and it has proven to be  a very effective way of engaging our youth in the further development of this vital industry.
