St. Maarten – Meyshane Kemar J., one of the three suspects in the murder of Michael and Thelma King on September 21 of last year at the Ocean Club Resort in Cupecoy was scheduled to appear for a pro forma hearing in the Court in First Instance yesterday, but he refused to leave the prison.

The suspect and two others will now appear in court on Tuesday January 22, but this will also be a pro forma hearing, prosecutor Georges van den Eshof said yesterday. During this hearing attorneys have the opportunity to indicate their additional wishes for the investigation – if they have any. The court will then set a tentative date for the actual handling of the murder-case.
