Journalists follow course criminal justice system

WILLEMSTAD – Seventeen journalists and court reporters in Curacao took part in a training whereby the Public Prosecutor’s Office gave information to local media about the new penal code, legal resources, enforcement by taking away one’s freedom, procedures in criminal trials and the role of the prosecution in the criminal trial process.

The course was given over three days, 1.5 hour per day at the prosecutor’s office by prosecutor Guillano Schoop.

Yesterday Chief Prosecutor Heiko de Jong presented certificates to the participants.
