GREAT BAY – Sint Maarten has a new law firm since July 2 at Welfare Road 57 in Cole Bay, but the individuals behind Hoeve & Rogers Attorneys at Law have been practicing law for a combined 24 years, and are well known throughout the community and surrounding islands.
Melinda Hoeve and Jason J. Rogers are the founding partners of Hoeve & Rogers. Besides providing legal services, the firm also offers professional accounting services via consultant Ahmed Bell of Principle Accounting & Consulting Services.
Hoeve & Rogers Attorneys at Law, is expected to grow in the near future as more attorneys and consultants are added to address the many needs and concerns of the community and businesses on Sint Maarten and as well as on the neighbouring islands.
Hoeve & Rogers provides effective legal services to its clients throughout the Dutch Caribbean. The firm’s primary client target group is civil and corporate clients, but is not limited to this segment. The firm is committed to the community it serves and also provide pro bono, pro deo and public service.
Both attorneys established Hoeve & Rogers Attorneys at Law based on the need for local, dynamic and approachable attorneys with a keen sense of understanding of the local clientele.

Melinda Hoeve has a Master’s degree in Law with specialization Civil Law. Hoeve has practiced and has acquired vast experience and knowledge in labour, family, administrative, criminal, corporate, civil servant, rental and contract law.
Jason Rogers has a Master’s degree in law with specialization in (international) criminal law and criminology. Rogers also practices administrative, European, labor, family, contract, civil servant, immigration, liability, inheritance and corporate law. Rogers also holds a Master’s degree in US (comparative) law with a focus on US criminal law, white collar crime, tort law, and alternative dispute resolution.
Ahmed Bell has a Master’s degree in accounting & control and a Bachelor degree in economics with specialization in finance & accounting. Bell has provided accounting services for various industries such as utility/energy, banking, telecommunications, insurance, hotel, casino and retail.
