Hit man Carlos Richardson shipped to the Netherlands

St. Maarten – The Public Prosecutor’s Office confirmed yesterday that Carlos Richardson has been transferred from the Pointe Blanche prison to an unidentified prison in the Netherlands. He is the second inmate to be shipped off island for security reasons. On Sunday, July 20, two guards traveled to the Netherlands on a KLM-flight with Stanley Gumbs killer Devon Otto.

This transfer took place at Otto’s request because he felt no longer safe in Pointe Blanche. Exactly a year before his transfer to the Netherlands, Carnicio Warno and Nahshon Francis attacked Otto with improvised machetes and wounded him seriously.

Richardson went through a similar experience in September, though he initiated the violence. On September 11, he made an attempt on the life of Urvin Lawrence Wawoe. Somehow, Richardson – the hit man of a criminal organization led by Omar and Amador Jones – had gotten his hands on a gun, but Wawoe got the better of him an injured him with an improvised machete so badly that he had to be taken to the intensive care unit at the St. Maarten Medical Center.

Wawoe is also known as rapper Nuto and as the leader of the infamous No Limit Soldiers gang, based in the Koraal Specht district in Curacao. He is serving an 8-year prison sentence for cocaine and firearm possession, money laundering and membership of a criminal organization.

Carlos Richardson is serving 29 years and 9 months for two murders, one attempted murder and one case of attempted manslaughter. All these crimes are linked to retaliation for the murder of gang leader Omar Jones’s brother Amador on April 16, 2011.
