Henson sent to prison in Guadeloupe

St. Maarten – Brian Henson who was convicted last months to 27 months for his involvement in an armed robbery in Cole Bay that took the life of drug dealer Luis Cuevas, was sentenced to 10 months in jail in Guadeloupe .

The 31-year old was involved in a family dispute on the French side for which the gendarmerie arrested him on July 2.

While it is not clear what exactly transpired, the gendarmes found Henson in the possession of a .38 caliber pistol. He was detained and transported to Guadeloupe. One week later, the court found him guilty of gun possession and sentenced him to 10 months in prison.

Press Public Prosecutor Karola van Nie confirmed Henson’s arrest on the French side yesterday.

Henson’s previous convictions include, chain snatching, gun possession, jewelry store robberies and most recently complicity to the attempted robbery in 2011 that resulted in the death of Luis Cuevas.
