Henry Parisius elected president of regional notary organization

St. Maarten – Henry Parisius, a civil law notary on St. Maarten, has been elected the President of the Antillean & Aruban Civil Law Notary Association. The election was part of the body’s annual meeting, held in the weekend of June 4.
Some 23 legal professionals from a variety of backgrounds – notaries, junior notaries and lawyers working at civil law notary offices – attended the meeting. They all come from Curacao, Aruba and St. Maarten.
The other board members elected at the meeting are Alba Chatlein (vice-president), Andre Palm (secretary), Mandy Berends (treasurer), Igor Naaldijk (member) and Ted Johnson (member).
“The very successful meeting on St. Maarten evidences the important role that our Association plays in the furtherance of our common professional interests,” Parisius said in a statement issued on Monday.
